Correct order of operations
Do not jump straight to a dispute.
- Capture the full descriptor, amount, date, and card or account used.
- Search receipts and account histories to identify the product and billing owner.
- Cancel future billing through the owner named on the receipt.
- Request a refund separately when the official policy provides a review route.
- Contact the bank or payment provider promptly when the charge is unauthorized or remains unresolved.
